Software Engineer, Applications- III

Position Summary:

Develop, create and modify applications software. Analyze user needs and develop software solutions. Design or customize software for client use with the aim of optimizing operational efficiency. May analyze and design databases with an application area, working individually and coordinating database development as part of a team.

Responsibilities and Requirements

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Achieving and maintaining 99% customer satisfaction
• Development, creation and modification of BlueWare suite of products
• On-time within budget software releases
• Work support line periodically to reduce ticket backlog
• Pre-sale assistance as needed
     o New feature demonstrations
     o Demo environment updates
     o Customer development scoping and estimates
• Documentation delivery
     o Technical product documentation
     o End user documentation
     o Versioning documentation
     o Customer issue reports
• Education delivery
     o On-Site training for Wellness Connection
     o On-going technology training – combination of on-site, class based and self training
• Attend internal/customer meetings as required
• Sales feedback as required
• Domestic and international travel is required
• Reports to Development Manager

Requirements:

• Bachelor degree, preferably in Computer Science or Information Technology, or equivalent experience
• 6 or more years of software development experience
• Object oriented development experience – preferably in Java
• Web development experience including HTML
• Technical Certifications a plus
• Excellent research, analysis, and problem solving skills
• Excellent communication and listening skills with the ability to tailor information to various audiences
• Solid interpersonal and customer relationship management skills
• Ability to work independently, also successfully work on a team
